We envision a future where the communities of Tanzania's arid and semi-arid regions are the architects of their own prosperity. Where traditional knowledge and modern science work in harmony to protect the environment and create dignified livelihoods.

We work across eight integrated programme areas to address the systemic challenges of poverty, environmental degradation, and inequality — ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey towards sustainable development.

The foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprising a Chairperson, Executive Secretary, Treasurer, and six additional members drawn from the communities we serve. This ensures that our strategic direction remains firmly rooted in the needs and aspirations of the people.
Membership is open to any Tanzanian citizen over the age of 18 who is committed to our vision and values.
